Awareness Is The Key Factor In Making Health Care Decision

About us:

Keeppoundingonprostatecancerawareness is a Non-Profit organization that specializes in Bringing awareness to the issue of Prostate Cancer. This organization has been started by CEO Kevin Barger, who has experienced stage four of Prostate Cancer firsthand. Our mission going forward in 2023 is to go out and create awareness for prostate cancer. With that being said the goal for our Non-profit organization in 2023 is us being able to pay for all men's prostate cancer blood screening no matter if they have insurance or not. The Prostate-Specific Antigen(PSA) blood screening is a simple first step but yet vital first step of awareness. The PSA blood screening consist of giving a simple blood test, there are two types of testing. There is a Home test kit that provides results within 10-15 Minutes but the results are not 100% accurate at all times. The second type of testing is Lab testing which is considered to be more accurate and more costly. To sum things up we need your help to reach our goal of spreading the awareness of the second leading cancer behind breast cancer

Prostate Cancer is a growing tumor that is on the Prostate. 1/8 black males will have it. It is a very aggressive Cancer to black males. After all the research that has been done no one has been able to figure out why it affects black males so aggressively compared to the other races. If the cancer is caught early enough it can be beat. That is why are encouraging all men between the age of 35+ to start active surveillance of prostate cancer awareness.

What is Prostate Cancer? /What does the prostate do? / How does it grow?

The prostates primary function is to produce the fluid that nourishes and transports sperm(Ceminal fluid). The prostate gland is located just below the bladder in men and surrounds the top portion of the tube that drains urine from the bladder(Urethra).

The prostate uses male hormones called Androgens such as testosterone and dihydrotestosterone(DHT) to trigger and maintain male sex characteristics and reproduction. Bacteria infections and inflammation causes cancer cells.
